“Snow pollution could be the main cause of the recent decline of the cryosphere”
Kunio Rikiishi teaches environmental science at the University of Hirosaki. Since completing a doctorate in atmospheric and ocean physics, he has studied the influence of human activities on the shrinkage of boreal ice and the influence of the Arctic on climate change in Japan. A member of the International Glaciological Society, he is currently researching change in the cryosphere.
