Heinrich Miller is a geophysicist and Deputy Director of the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research in Bremerhaven, Germany. As head of Glaciology and Geophysics, he specializes in paleoclimate research using deep ice cores and marine geophysics in polar regions. He has been researching on and travelling to the North and South Poles since 1979. He is the head of the European Project for Ice Coring in Antarctica (EPICA).
