Ivory Gull – Svalbard
The Ivory gull is rare, and lives closely connected to sea ice. Losing sea ice is not just about losing the polar bear. A whole ecosystem will change dramatically. Everything is linked together.
Norway based professional conservation photographer, Eirik Gronningsaeter focus on polar areas – both south and north. He also works as photography guide with focus on polar bears in Svalbard where he is part of the acknowledged WildPhoto Travel team. Part of Ocean Geographic Explorers team. Eirik worked a lot on various scientific projects as a field technician and photographer focusing especially on seabirds and cetaceans in northern areas.
