Jean Jouzel is a paleoclimatologist. Former director of the Pierre-Simon Laplace Institute, he has been involved in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change expert processes for the past 15 years for which he received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007. He participated in the French government’s 2007 National Environment Summit, known as the ‘Grenelle Environnement’, which brought together representatives from civil society to draw up a sustainable development roadmap.
